Governor’s Scholar Program – Meade County Kentucky Students

Congratulations to these students who were selected to attend the Governor’s Scholar Program this summer!

The Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program is a program to attempt to keep “the brightest” rising high school seniors inside the state of Kentucky. The program is a five-week program over the summer for students between their junior and senior years of high school.

The Juniors Governor Scholar Application process was in full swing for class of 2023 google classroom for information on the application process. The due date for final application was Friday Nov 19th. Two hard copies of your application were to be turned in to the guidance office if you needed more info  Mrs. Benham was the POC

The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the Presidentto recognize and honor some of our nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors.

The Governor’s Scholars Program strives to enhance Kentucky’s next generation of civic and economic leaders. Established in 1983, the program provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience. Students must complete an application and compete with others from across the state. Those selected attend the program free of charge.
