MEADE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT RELEASES PLAN FOR RETURNING TO IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION IN JANUARY 2021

The most recent Executive Order released by Governor Beshear and guidance from the Kentucky Department of Education will allow school districts to resume limited in-person instruction while in the “red zone” on the Kentucky Department of Public Health’s Incidence Map. The top priority of our school district continues to be delivering a quality education while protecting the health and safety of our students, employees, and community.

𝘼𝙜𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙃𝙮𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙙 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙍𝙚𝙙-𝙕𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣January 5th – 8th – Remote NTI Instruction for all GradesJanuary 11th – 22nd – Preschool – 6th Grade In-Person Instruction Resumes Under A/B ModelJan 25th – Grades 7-12 Grade In-Person Instruction Resumes Under A/B Model

𝘼/𝘽 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙨All grade levels will return under a reduced capacity to allow for increased mitigation strategies and opportunities for in-person instruction. Group A will be last names A-K.Group B will be last names L-Z.

𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧The January Instructional Calendar is being released to allow for planning. This calendar will be subject to change based on current community data. Inclement weather days will not cause these dates to shift. If weather conditions are not safe for in-person instruction, students will shift to NTI Remote Learning for impacted date(s). Meade County School District will follow recommendation to delay in-person instruction until January 11, 2021, to prevent the spread of disease following the holidays.

Meade County School District will comply with the Safety Practices outlined in Kentucky Healthy at School Guidance Document.

𝙈𝙮𝙈𝙀𝘼𝘿𝙀 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚Meade County School District will continue to offer virtual instruction through MyMEADE Online for those students and families that desire this instructional model.
