Mountain climbers are a great power move for runners. They ramp up your heart rate, challenge your balance and agility, and get your muscles burning. Feet should be together and your body should be in a straight line from your head to your heels. Engage your abs by pulling them in. Step your right foot out to the side. Bring it back to center. Holding a plank for too long can cause pain, particularly if you have existing back problems. That’s because when your muscles tire, the stomach sags down and puts pressure on the lower back.
